"Grand Nu Opry" is the first 2024 release from Quez Cantrell's upcoming  album "N.I.N.E". In this high intensity track, Quez delivers a rant like lyrical verse. After years of releases speaking on the Black experience in Nashville, TN, this track takes direct aim at the black experience on the famous Broadway in the heart of "Country Music, USA". Historically, Broadway hasn't been a place that was inviting to Black culture, seemingly lacking in representation. Visitor spending in Nashville in 2022 was estimated at a record $8.8 billion. The number of visitors to Nashville in 2022 was 14.4 million, an increase of 13% over 2021. Other than Slim & Husky's and Prince's Chicken, there aren't any more black owned businesses on Broadway.

In this track, Quez speaks about the "Glass Ceiling" that many Black artist experience pursuing their craft in Nashville. With Country Music being the staple of Music City, Black Artist stuggle to find their voices and places to operate as a thriving artist. We have the music industry right in our backyard, but finding a pipeline to access these amenities haven't come easy for artist, especially Rap and Hip Hop Artist. "Today's a New Day, a different hue tryna rep for the City", Quez proclaims. This is less of a single and more of a statement.

Many Black artist feel they have to conform to make it into these rooms and offices that exist right here in our city. This song is a bit of satire, laced with vulnerable and honest bars. Please give it a listen below Produced by SK The Plug and the visual shot by All3y3z
